Hi, I'm Lindsey Hinds Smith, founder of Hindsite Design.

I created Hindsite Design to provide homeowners with thoughtful, personalized residential design services that balance beauty, functionality, and the way people truly live. Whether it's a custom home, renovation, addition, outdoor living space, or barndominium, my goal is to help clients bring their vision to life through a collaborative and approachable design process.

As a Certified Professional Building Designer (CPBD) with more than 25 years of experience in design drafting and residential design, I understand that building or renovating a home is one of the most significant investments a family can make. I believe great design should not only look beautiful, but also support the routines, priorities, and lifestyle of the people who call it home.

Based in Covington, Louisiana, Hindsite Design serves homeowners throughout Southeast Louisiana, providing design development, construction documents, and coordination with structural engineers and other professionals as needed to help projects move smoothly from concept to construction.

My favorite part of this work is helping clients take an idea that exists only in their imagination and transform it into a home they can see, build, and enjoy for years to come.
